Terms and conditions
The present general conditions of sale apply to all orders placed though the Petit Toi online shop for all products and services offered by www.petit-toi.ch.
By placing an order on www.petit-toi.ch the customer confirms they have read and accept the terms and conditions. Petit Toi reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without notice. The conditions at the time of the order prevail.
1 – Availability of the products
All products presented on www.petit-toi.ch are subject to availability of stocks at order. Petit Toi reserves the right to modify the selection of products available via the e-shop at any time. In case of a product not being available, Petit Toi is committed to inform the customer as soon as possible.
2 – Prices
Prices are indicated in Swiss Francs including tax. Petit Toi reserves the right to update the prices at any time due to special offers, promotions, marketing action or currency rate changes. The indicated prices exclude delivery costs. These are displayed and invoiced at order confirmation.
Petit Toi strives to maintain the accuracy of the prices listed on website. If a price discrepancy is found, Petit Toi will give the customer the possibility of either confirming the purchase of the product at the correct price or of cancelling the order.
In the event that Petit Toi is not able to contact the customer, the order will be considered cancelled.
Payment must be made in advance. No order will be validated and sent to the client until Petit Toi receives confirmation of payment of the full amount of the order.
3 – Order process
If the information entered by the customer when placing the order is incorrect, Petit Toi cannot be held responsible for not being able to deliver the product. Any additional shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
The order is confirmed by the client’s acceptance of the price.
Offers are valid depending upon stock availability.
Any purchase order signed electronically by clicking “I confirm my order” is considered as an irrevocable acceptance and implies obligation to pay the full amount.
The customer must be +18 years of age. For customer under 18 years of age, the agreement of their legal representative is required. Persons under guardianship or curatorship must require the consent of their guardian, curator or tutelary authority.
4 – Guaranty of quality
Product specifications and photos are used in agreement with the supplier and are indicative only. The pictures used in the catalogue are as close as possible to the delivered products but cannot be used as a guarantee of perfect similarity with the final product, especially in terms of colour and therefore cannot have any contractual value.
5 – Payment
Petit Toi offers several payment methods to its customers:
- Credit cards: VISA, EC, Mastercard, and Postcard,
- with Paypal (online payment) :
Transactions on http://www.petit-toi.ch/ are secured by the Paypal payment system www.paypal.com. PayPal automatically encrypts confidential data between your computer and the PayPal system with an encryption key length of 128 bits (the highest currently available on the market) and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol. This data cannot be detected, intercepted or used by third parties. It is not stored on our computer systems. PayPal is a technical provider is not responsible for any claims relevant to the orders.

- Payment by bank transfer online or at the counter to the following account:

Payment by bank transfer must be made within the 3 next working days following the order.
After this period of 3 working days, if full payment has not been registered with the Bank COOP, the availability of the ordered items cannot be guaranteed.
6 – Delivery
After receipt of your payment your order will be processed as quickly as possible. The order will be delivered to the address entered by the customer when ordering. Within Switzerland our goods are delivered by Swiss Post. Petit Toi does not deliver outside Switzerland at the moment.
Delivery lead-times are between 2 and 6 working days. A longer lead-time applies if the order is placed during the weekend, bank holidays or vacation (announced on the website and Facebook).
Petit Toi cannot be held responsible for delivery delays due to errors, service disruptions of any nature or in case of loss. Eventual additional costs (or taxes) requested by the local post office for the delivery of goods will be charged to the customer.
Reclamations related to the delivered product have to be expressed within 24 hours of receiving the product by e-mail under the category “contact us”. Damaged parcels must not be opened. If you receive a parcel with damaged wrapping refer to paragraph 9 – “Damaged parcels or products on arrival”.
7 – Delivery Costs
Postage depends on the weight and size of the order and the delivery address of the customer.
For Switzerland : Transport is carried out by the Swiss Post by B courier. Costs for transport and packaging start at CHF 7.00 up to CHF 31.00 if it is a very large parcel.

8 – Exchange and reimbursement
All articles can be exchanged except those which are part of a promotion or special offer. Petit Toi cannot guarantee the availability in stock at the time of exchange so if a suitable replacement is not available; the customer will be offered store credit (with the exception of articles which are part of a promotion or special offer).
The customer can return ordered goods within 7 working days from the date of delivery. The transportation fees are charged to the customer. Should this period expire on a bank holiday or a weekend it will be extended to the first following working day
Petit Toi Sàrl is committed to replace the product within 15 days or less (depending on availability of stock) following receipt and checking of the returned goods, and only if compliance with the following points are fulfilled.
Should the product be out of stock when it is returned, Petit Toi will credit the amount of the product on your account (excluding shipment charges).
A return is valid only if the following points are adhered to:
- The customer has to contact and inform Petit Toi before returning the product about the reason for return (size problem etc.) as soon as possible by sending an e-mail to the following address: [email protected] or via « Contact us » on Petit Toi’s web site. Petit Toi has the right to refuse a return if this condition has not been fulfilled.
- The returned products must be intact, in a perfect state for resale, in their original packaging, accompanied by the original documents (instruction manual etc.) and a copy of the invoice or bill of delivery if sent as a present.
- Any damaged or incomplete product or for which the original packaging is missing or damaged will not be refunded or exchanged.
The amount will be refunded in the 7 days following the receipt and checking of the returned goods.
When returning a product, the post office will supply you with a free justification that must be kept as in case of loss of the parcel, the articles cannot be refunded without its presentation.
There is no right of compensation or refund for mistakes in pictures, prices or texts.
9 – Damaged parcels or products on arrival
- Missing product in parcel at reception
Despite the attention taken by Petit Toi in preparing the deliveries it is possible that one article may be missing. Petit Toi must be informed on the same day of delivery – or the next working day following delivery at the latest by sending a mail to [email protected] stating that one product is missing or if there was an error product allocation. After checking this, Petit Toi will reship the product or refund it; this is subject to the legitimacy of the customer’s request.
It is the responsibility of the customer to verify compliance of the received products.
If the above conditions are fulfilled, Petit Toi will either resend the missing product (s) depending on availability of stock, or process a refund. The above is subject to the legitimacy of the buyer’s request.
In the case of a re-shipment the costs are at Petit Toi expense.
- Damaged product at reception
Goods are transported at the peril of the customer.
The parcel or a product may be damaged during transport. If this is the case, when the parcel is delivered, Petit Toi must be notified of any product’s non conformity (broken, damaged etc.) on the same day of delivery or the first working day following receipt at the latest by e-mail to [email protected] Any claim made after this time will be rejected and Petit Toi Sàrl will be relieved of all liability. The customer has to return the damaged products within a period of 7 working days at their own expense.
If the above conditions are fulfilled, Petit Toi will either resend the faulty product (s), depending on the availability of stock, or proceed to a refund. The above is subject to the legitimacy of the customer’s request.
In the case of a re-shipment the costs are at Petit Toi expense.
- Damaged parcel at reception
All orders received with damaged packaging must not be opened. The customer must immediately contact the post office to report the damaged packaging, so that the customer can receive a written report confirming the damages. The customer will immediately inform Petit Toi via e-mail and forward this document.
Without this document the claim will be rejected releasing Petit Toi from any responsibility.
No sale item will be exchanged or refunded, unless it has a manufacturing defect.

10 – Safety and confidentiality of information
All information provided by the customers of Petit Toi will only be used to process the orders placed by the buyer and to facilitate navigation and shopping on www.petit-toi.ch, as well as to inform customers of new products, special offers or news related to Petit Toi. Petit Toi Sàrl guarantees that the information which has been provided by customers is not communicated to any third party.
All customer data is treated confidentially. The processing of personal information is subject to Swiss data protection laws.
The client may object at any time to the use of its data for advertising purposes by sending a written letter or e-mail to Petit Toi.
11 – Responsibility
Petit Toi is relieved from any responsibility for the usage or misuse of ordered articles.
Relations between Petit Toi Sàrl and its customers are subject to Swiss law.
For any dispute related to the relationship between Petit Toi Sàrl and the customer, the recognised jurisdiction is at the locality of registration of Petit Toi Sàrl’s head office.
The choice of furniture is more complex due to size and dimensions, colour selection, options of transportation and assembly. Therefore, we would prefer to provide you with a personalised service which is based on our solid experience in interior design.
